With “Clio”, the artificial intelligence (AI) digital assistant, available exclusively on a 5G network
This is a Project with cutting-edge AR/VR and AI technologies, and more than two years of preparation by COSMOTE, with the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Acropolis Museum. The Project unites Innovation, Culture and Technology to help us travel back in time and experience history in new ways. The one-of-a-kind COSMOTE CHRONOS App enhances the experience of a visit to the Acropolis, but also serves as an educational and guiding tool that can be used worldwide.
MOPTIL was technology partner of COSMOTE in all stages of the Project’s implementation. From concept and UI development to designing 3D photorealistic reconstructions that work in AR environment and incorporating features like real time conversation with a virtual assistant powered by AI and of course AI training. The Project brings innovation to the field of cultural applications by applying AR & VR & AI technologies as well as 5G network technologies together in one application, designed to work with most smartphones and tablets. MOPTIL’s ΑΙ partner was Intelequia, a Microsoft Azure certified partner.
For the implementation of the application, COSMOTE and MOPTIL collaborated with the Emeritus Professor of Classical Archeology of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Mr. Panos Valavanis, as the head archaeological supervisor.
In addition, Mr. Panagiotis Tsirides and Mrs. Katerina Rogakou served as script writers during production. Mrs. Katerina Rogakou, also performed archaeological supervision as bot trainer of “Clio”.
Archaeologist Mrs. Lina Tsatsaroni undertook the scientific documentation and the scripting of questions and answers for the AI component of the App. In addition, she participates in the retraining process of “Clio”, by reviewing user questions, including corrections and addition of new questions and answers to the AI knowledge base.
The special and unique music that accompanies the COSMOTE CHRONOS, was composed exclusively for the application by music composer, Mr. Javier Hidalgo Gonzales de Aledo.
