MOPTIL – Mobile Optical Illusions held its all-hands meeting, bringing together the entire team from different regions of Greece as well as from abroad. Over the course of two days, MOPTIL team members participated in discussions, workshops, and training sessions, with a shared goal: aligning around the company’s vision and shaping the next steps forward.
The first day opened with a CEO keynote, presenting the company’s current state, strategic goals, and key focus areas. A central message was MOPTIL’s role in the digital transformation of cultural heritage, with a clear emphasis on making culture globally accessible through technology.
This was followed by an in-depth presentation from the HR team, outlining MOPTIL’s shared journey so far: from documenting and understanding ways of working, to shaping a new organizational structure based on agile principles, and ultimately strengthening communication and team enablement.
The next steps were also presented, including role mapping, skills definition, performance reviews, structured career paths, integrated HR policies, and continuous support for the company’s people.
Success Stories: People at the Center
A highlight of the program was the Success Stories session. Each employee took the stage to present their own success story from 2025, showcasing projects, initiatives, and individual contributions.
Following all presentations, the team took part in an internal voting process, selecting the most outstanding stories. The two winners were awarded participation in the Agile Greece Retreat in Ioannina, held in October, as recognition of their effort and impact.
The Success Stories session demonstrated how MOPTIL’s innovation translates into tangible results, through a wide range of projects leveraging artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and modern interaction technologies. Presentations included AI-powered personalized digital companions, immersive cultural experiences using AR, VR, and 3D, as well as R&D initiatives that redefine how visitors engage with cultural heritage.
Special focus was also given to achievements in computer vision, such as hotspot detection solutions and location-based experience activation, as well as projects integrating GPS triggers and intelligent interaction mechanisms. In parallel, success stories highlighted UI/UX redesigns, accessibility by design, and gaming-inspired concepts such as treasure hunt mechanics and soundscapes that enhance immersive storytelling.
International projects were also featured, with the MATeL – Milk Museum App in Italy standing out as a key example, reaffirming MOPTIL’s ability to adapt its expertise across different cultural, technological, and organizational contexts. Overall, the Success Stories illustrated how human-centered technology can create meaningful experiences and open new paths for culture on an international scale.
Workshops and Knowledge Sharing
The program included parallel workshops, designed to address different needs and roles within the team. Participants were divided into two thematic tracks: one focused on agile ways of working, introducing core principles, strategic models, and tools such as the Agile Manifesto, the RACI model, and the impact–effort matrix; the other centered on artificial intelligence, with an overview of AI types and hands-on activities.
As part of the AI track, a generative AI video workshop (Veo 3) was held, where team members experimented with prompt structures and creative uses of AI for storytelling. Through practical examples, group exercises, and rotation between the two tracks, participants developed a shared vocabulary and framework, strengthening cross-functional collaboration and deepening their understanding of the technologies shaping MOPTIL’s future.
DIGIPAST: Designing the Next Step
The second day of the all-hands meeting focused on strategy, leadership, and the future of DIGIPAST, with dedicated workshops for company leaders as well as open, collaborative sessions involving the entire team. Discussions centered on assessing the product’s current state, evaluating the progress of the web app, and systematically capturing insights from collaboration with tour operators and end users.
Through structured brainstorming, group discussions, and idea prioritization, the team collectively defined priorities and shaped the DIGIPAST roadmap for 2026. Particular emphasis was placed on improving the experience for B2B partners, alongside preparing a new generation of AI-powered features currently in the design phase. These upcoming capabilities aim to deliver greater personalization, smarter content management, and more natural visitor interaction with digital storytelling, further strengthening DIGIPAST as a comprehensive cultural experience platform.
A Festive Closing
The all-hands meeting concluded with the MOPTIL Gala, in a relaxed and celebratory atmosphere, marking the end of two days of meaningful collaboration, knowledge sharing, and team bonding. The evening served as a natural continuation of the collective effort, creating space for connection, recognition, and shared celebration of the year’s achievements.Through initiatives like this, MOPTIL reaffirms its commitment to a human-centered, agile, and international team that continuously invests in learning, growth, and collaboration. A team that keeps redefining how technology meets culture, creating experiences with lasting impact for the present and the future.
