In early April, our team members from Thessaloniki, Kozani, and Slovenia gathered in Athens for a vibrant onsite/offsite experience. It was more than a routine company meetup—it was a purposeful pause. A moment to reconnect across regions, reflect on the journey so far, and realign around the opportunities ahead.
The day opened with a team-wide meeting focused on reviewing recent milestones, sharing lessons learned, and discussing our strategic direction for the coming months. This honest and energizing session reminded us not only of how much we’ve achieved but also of how much more we can accomplish—together.
Following the morning session, we stepped out for a relaxed company lunch, where conversations flowed just as easily as the food. Back at the office, we honored Greek tradition with the ceremonial cutting of the pita, symbolizing good fortune and fresh beginnings. These moments—personal, meaningful, and celebratory—reinforced the importance of staying connected as we grow.
Purpose in Progress
As the day continued, interactive workshops and outdoor challenges brought out our creative problem-solving side. From brainstorming new product ideas to tackling spontaneous team puzzles, the energy was high and ideas flowed freely. It became clear: our strength as a team lies not just in what we build, but in how we build it—collaboratively, with curiosity and purpose.
Stefanos Papadopoulos, Archaeologist – Scientific Curator, one of our newest teammates, summed it up beautifully: “It’s rare to join a team and instantly feel like you’re part of something bigger. What stood out to me was not only the passion for technology but the care behind the stories we tell through it.” This sense of shared purpose is what drives everything we do—and it’s especially visible in the projects currently in the works.

We entered 2025 with a fresh mindset and a brand-new company video that captures the essence of who we are. Now live on Vimeo, the video shares our evolving story, highlights our mission, and sets the tone for where we’re heading.

One of the most exciting features in development is Real-Time Voice Translation. Built with advanced AI models, this technology allows tour guides to speak in their native language—whether Greek, Spanish, or English—while visitors hear seamless, real-time translations in their preferred language. Fully integrated into DIGIPAST, this feature will empower multilingual experiences without the need for separate groups or devices, marking a major leap in accessibility and inclusion.

DIGIPAST itself is undergoing a quiet but powerful transformation. The upcoming DIGIPAST 2.0 will bring a refreshed interface, improved performance, and enhanced accessibility—making the experience even smoother and more immersive for users around the world.
