The Union of the Tour Guides of Crete and Santorini organised on 29 of March 2016 a presentation of Moptil’s KNOSSOS3D service.
The main target of this Event was, Moptil to present to all the official tour Guides of Crete and Santorini the world wide unique service that has developed, named KNOSSOS3D, which targets to integrate the guides service with a 3D Augmented and Virtual Reality reconstruction of the monuments.
Dr. Colin F. Macdonald (former Curator of the British School in Athens for Knossos) the supervisor of the Application (Knossos3D) explained the Archaeological details of the Application and all the modern prespectives that were taken into account in its designing.
The President of the Union Mr. Vaggelis Alefantinos and the President of the Tour Agents of Crete Mr. Michalis Vlatakis honored Moptil with their presense and participation in the our virtual tour.
Mr. M. Apladenakis, the General Manager of TEZ tours, enriched the presentation to the guides, as TEZ was the first tour operator that integrated Moptil’s services in all her excursions to Knossos since July 2015. So Mr. Apladenakis pointed out that, out of many thousands of tourists that used KNOSSOS3D in 2015, not even one did a negative comment, in the contrary all TEZ customers were excited. This is why TEZ was the first operator (together with Destination Services (TUI)) to sign a contract with Moptil for KNOSSOS3D in 2016.
